If you look closely, you can see that substituting for lowly cauliflower is the Escher-esque Romanesco that came in our mystery box last Thursday. Along with some new potatoes, peas, cumin, curry powder and cilantro, we had a pretty delicious side dish to accompany our homemade chicken tikka. I won’t be intimidated by the crazy fractal shapes of romanesco anymore — in fact, I think the flavor was more complex than cauliflower.
